Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, a professor of orthopedic surgery in Cairo, was struck by the horrific images of Gaza following the October airstrikes. The destruction and loss of life deeply affected him, prompting him to close his clinic and travel to Gaza to volunteer. Once there, he faced unimaginable challenges, with limited medical supplies and surgeries often performed in makeshift tents. Despite these conditions, his commitment to helping those in need never wavered. Working alongside international medical teams, he became a beacon of hope, showing that even in the face of overwhelming tragedy, the power of human compassion and action could make a significant difference.
